accepted or whether any individual will be allowed to participate in the
tournament. Violation of a particular rule is not a condition precedent

angler. The General Regulations are expressly incorporated by reference
and made a part of the rules.

Line Test Limits:
Manufacturer's stated line test may not be acceptable.
The WET TEST line strengths listed below govern for purposes of
determining in which division a catch may be entered. The MET Committee
recognizes that many anglers do not know the actual WET TEST strength of
the particular line in use. If the angler does not have knowledge of the
actual line strength, then the manufacturer's stated test may be used
providing that, in the event that the manufacturer lists more than one
stated test (i.e. 8-lb test: IGFA 12-lb.), the higher number will control.
However, if an angler has knowledge that the particular brand of line in
use will over test, the angler must enter the catch in the division
appropriate for the actual line strength.

listed in the General Rules.
- Any test line may be used as long as its breaking strength is
between the below listed line test limits. 3. Leader length is limited
to 30-feet. Double line, if used, may not exceed 30-feet. If both are

There are NO specific tackle requirements. Any tackle may be used so long
as it conforms to the specifications for any other MET division. Any youth
angler may enter the Junior or Peewee Divisions provided he/she meets the
following age requirement at the time the catch was made.
Any youth angler may enter his/her fish in any other division for which
the tackle qualifies.
For Junior Masters and Peewee Grand Champions the angler entries will be
considered regardless of what tackle division the catch is entered - birth
date will be the criteria for these awards. Divisional Awards must be
entered in the Division where the youth angler wishes them to be
considered.
- Juniors must be 10 years or older but not yet have reached their
15th birthday at the time the catch was made.
- Peewees must not have reached the age of ten (10) at the time the

Men's/Women's Master Angler or Junior Men's/Junior Women's Master Angler

General
Regulations:
- Citations will be awarded for all fish that are minimum length or
weight.
- To calculate the number of points a fish is worth, the weight of the
fish, in pounds is multiplied by 200. That number is then divided by the
minimum weight as indicated in the table.
- Fish under minimum length or weight will be disqualified.
- No single fish can be entered as both a weight and a released fish.
- "Non-guided" is interpreted to mean any angler who is accompanied by
a fishing companion other than a professional captain, guide or mate.
- An angler can win only one major award. Master and Grand Champion
level awards are affected by this ruling. No other awards are affected.
- After an entry has been made the angler cannot change the division
into which it was entered.
- If you leave off the length of your fish and a minimum length is
required it will be disqualified. Be safe - enter all lengths.
